Dear Intern Bar Class of 2010,
Welcome! As our fourth class of interns rolls into NYC, I can already tell this is going to our best summer yet. This year we have over 1,000 interns in our ranks, from all across the world, interning at the most diverse company base we have seen yet. Your enthusiasm thus far has impressed us all here at Intern Bar, we are excited for our summer!
My name is Frankie and I am one of the original Intern Bar coordinators, co-founding this little operation back in the summer of 2007. I wanted to personally welcome you to New York City, explain what Intern Bar is about, introduce this year's amazing coordinators, and unveil our latest baby: our new and improved InternBar.com, where you will be able to network and socialize with all the Interns in NYC and also get all the latest information about our event lineup.
The point of InternBar is to help answer the question "where should we go tonight?" for all of New York City's summer interns. NYC is sometimes hard to figure out, with so many choices of places to go, we created InternBar so everyone knows where everyone else is going to be. At each event, we organize a drink special with the bar - we try to get you a free open bar each night - just to loosen everyone up and enjoy the city even more. We pick our places to show you a wide array of what New York has to offer; from dive bars, college bars, trendy lounges, and--occasionally--the most exclusive nightclubs and private celebrity-filled events.
That being said, I wanted to introduce you to this year's coordinator class. These are the great folks who have volunteered their non interning time to help make our events this summer a success. From here on out, they will be the ones messaging you all, telling you whats up, and gauging your feedback and recommendations. They are here for you. When you see them out the events, be sure to say hello and introduce yourself. They are:

This year we will be engaging our community even more and getting everyone involved. Be sure to keep an ear out for our casting calls - we're going to be looking for super interns to be guest bartenders, DJs, models, and more.
Lastly, I wanted to announce the re-launch of our new website, internbar.com. It is a dedicated social network about everything internbar. Everyone needs to sign up at Intern Bar.com, make a profile, and update your info. Use the site to meet other interns, follow the blogs of our intern coordinators, see pictures from our parties, and get updated on the latest party invitations. We have a great line up for this summer - we'll certainly keep you busy and having a great time all summer long - From our Summer Kick Off Event - (free dinner and open bar) all the through our special events - Michael Jackson Tribute Party, Playboy Playmates Invade Intern Bar, World Cup Viewing Party, Pool Party, and more, we are going to have a great summer.
